In London for the weekend. I am going to a wedding in Barcelona next week and wanted to take the opportunity to see Chris again. I arrived Saturday morning. I was greated by what resembled November in New York weather and after a much needed power nap, (due to the massive jet-lag), Koo, Gabriel and I headed to North England to visit chris. After about a two-hour trek, guided by the trusty tomtom, we reached the beautiful facility.

The facility where Chris is being cared for resembles a country club/vacation retreat. I saw lush fields of green plains and acres of hills and vast gardens. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing.

During my visit there I could see the amount of caring attention that Chris receives. Everyone there knows his name, Koo’s name and Gabriel’s. (side note: I was asked if I was his brother…I took that as a compliment☺). I also witnessed first hand one of the attendants joke around with Chris and bring a huge smile to his face on several instances and a tiny tear to mine. I also saw Chris eat, where he opended his mouth on and chewed on food completely on his own. In my heart I could see and feel that he does in fact understand, to a certain extent, what is going on around him. I also saw Gabriel give him a lovingly kiss on the cheek goodbye and the titantic sized smile that it brought across his Chris’ face…it was undeniable and unmistakable that he was happy that his wife and son were present.

I left the facility with a warm feeling that he knew I was there, that he knew that his wife was there and that his son was there. I will see you soon Chris.
