Chris had his third stem cell injection yesterday without incidents. I am sure the toughest part is the 6 hours afterwards in which Chris has to just lay flat there even without a pillow… My dad has been cooking Korean food everyday and sharing it with Chris. Apparently the Korean restaurant nearby is not authentic enough for my father’s taste so this is prompting him to cook his own meals – and conveniently sharing it with Chris. Pre-injury, Chris loved Korean food so much that he was the one who would cook my mom’s recipes at home so I guess this works for everyone.

I have had some emails back and forth also with the hospital patients coordinator (Lucas) who also assures me all is fine. The doctors are expecting me back to see if there are any changes I can perceive in Chris – this comes as a surprise to me as I would not expect any changes this early in the process (but there are many Cerebral Palsy children that show changes right away even if small tiny changes). We shall see - Gabriel, my mom and I will be back tomorrow…

Gabriel is fully recovered now, one can see by how much he talks non stop. Gabriel was able to fully enjoy Disney and Ocean Park as initially planned… He was soooooooo excited about all the rides etc. and he would not stop saying “I love you mamae” all day long, so sweet… He has also eaten spaghetti ala Bolognese, ice-creams, chocolate cake and French fries exclusively for about 5 days in a row. I’m not sure which food got him the bacterial infection in the first place so I am 100% fine with this diet for him until we get back home. I am sure everyone is highly interested in the details of Gabriel’s diet J.

I can not wait to see Chris tomorrow… Not a single day goes by without thinking and missing Chris like crazy… I wished so much that Chris could have shared in Gabriel’s excitement and happiness…
