I went to see Chris today by myself. There is nothing new, although I was a bit anxious about how I was going to find him. My parents went to the hospital twice this week. First time they did not find him at the Jacob as he had gone to an outing – good for Chris, bad for my parents as it’s almost a 3:30 to 4-hour roundtrip during the week with the gallon of gas at about $8 dol.
The second visit was not that great as my parents told me he was absolutely not in a good mood at all, no smiles, just a serious look. A nursing staff earlier today also told me Chris was in a weird mood yesterday so I was worried.
To my relief, he was happy today at least until when I left him comfortably settled in his bed. His dinner consisted of cheese omelet and mashed potatoes with chocolate cake for dessert.
I have appointments for Chris to be assessed by a private SALT and PT so that I can put in place additional therapy to supplement what he already gets from his current hospital. I hope I can come up with something soon.
That’s all for today. I was sad leaving him today and I cannot believe he is still in this condition.
