I leave tomorrow morning. Chris’ dad George and stepmother Donna (arrived early this morning), my dad, and Gabriel picked me up in the office around 4 PM and we all headed to the hospital. I wanted to say good bye to Chris but it was very hectic our visit today. Chris was on the hall alone, head down – which I HATE so much when he is like that. He looked up to me first and then when he saw his father, Chris was extremely vocal – I never saw him being that vocal and wonder if it is related to seeing and recognizing his dad or not. My dad thinks Chris did recognized and was “trying” to say something… I am more cautious about things and do not assume anything until I am 100% sure.

Unfortunately the visit was so rushed … we fed him, and I showed Donna where to find his supplements and how to feed them to Chris. Then after we returned from our dinner, Chris was already in bed….

R, Chris SALT, caught up with me regarding her sessions with Chris and she seemed very pleased about Chris’ awareness and alertness. To me though, this is nothing new. It is just that when she first evaluated Chris, he was in those horrible drowsy and weird days so now Chris is just more himself and she can see he does very well following objects and people. She worked with Chris showing shapes (he did not care for) and celebrity faces (he fixated and stared).
