Gabriel and I went to the hospital straight upon my arrival in London around 6:00 PM. Chris was initially sleeping but woke up and stared at me. He was aware of my presence but I could not see any reactions other than the fixed glaze. Chris needed changing and repositioning and after that he became slightly more agitated shaking his head right and left. I worked his hands and wrists ... there seem to be continuous - albeit slowly - worsening of his right wrist despite the splints etc. His right hand is very caved inwards, twisted with his fingers painfully straight open.
He did not smile to me nor responded to any requests or commands. He continues to track and stare. I think Chris is going through a plateau period as nothing new has developed in a couple of weeks. I have not spoken to any of his therapists in a while since I arrive too late at the hospital. Both his PT and OT are pretty negative about Chris anyway so there is not much in catching up with them other than to make specific requests.
Dr Zhou arrived late today around 8:30 PM and said he will be taking a break until the 9th of January, so Chris will not have acupuncture for the next 2 weeks. Dr. Zhou said Chris was extremely agitated on Monday. We left shortly after his arrival - Gabriel screaming as usual as he likes to play with the nurses...
Yesterday was the 8th month anniversary since Chris’ cardiac arrest.
